Brent Laffoon began practicing yoga without even realizing it when he was 9 years old, when a doctor prescribed him a regimen of exercises to correct a mild case of Scoliosis. Brent was told the exercises would be difficult and require discipline. Oddly enough, he found them not that difficult and, well, sort of fun. It wasn’t until many years later, though, that he took his first official yoga class and felt instantly at home. Shortly thereafter, feeling inspired to teach, he went to Bali and completed an intensive teacher training, then returned home to Los Angeles and began teaching. His energetic classes and unique approach to yoga quickly become popular, and within two years he was voted on of the top 30 yoga instructors in LA. With ballet shoes on her feet at 3 years old, Caley has always felt a connection between physical movement, breath, energy, and vitality. She began practicing yoga with her siblings in high school and took an Iyengar class at the University of Oregon where she studied nutrition and anatomy. As a D-1 collegiate athlete Caley realized her calling to help people achieve healthier, happier lives at a fairly early age. She witnessed first hand the importance of promoting preventative and therapeutic health methods rather then a treatment focused approach to wellness. Her true yoga journey began when she moved to San Francisco and jumped in head-first to her 200-hour training. It has been non-stop ever since!
